Happy Friday!

I hope you all had a great week! I am especially excited today because spring semester is officially over at UNM, which means I'm on summer break. Honestly, it could not have come at a better time.

Because it's been a while since my last blog post (so sorry 😅) I thought I should give you guys a bit of a life update. First, it has officially been a month since Matt and I moved into our first apartment together. Honestly, I am so happy that I get to wake up next to my best friend and love of my life every morning! We've been talking about this moment for a long time, and it's such a great feeling to see it finally happening.

School-wise, I just finished my second to last semester of my undergrad. I seriously can't believe that I only have one semester left! As of right now, I am planning on staying at UNM's Anderson  School of Management to get my MBA with a Marketing concentration. I also decided I want to make more content about school on the blog! I'm thinking of starting with a few posts about organization, and how I've kept straight A's in college. Honestly, when it comes to school, it's all about balance. I've been so lucky to have scholarships because they've helped me keep my work hours to just under 30 hours a week. This has made it easier to give my classes the time they needed to get good grades. That being said, grades are not everything, and should never be seen that way! If you're struggling in school or balancing everything (work, school, life, kids, etc) please know that working towards a degree should always feel like a huge accomplishment. You should be proud of yourself, and bad grades don't define you!

As for my outfit, I am loving this feminine white dress! I love all the layers and ruffles, and honestly, it's the kind of dress that makes me want to twirl around all day. For me, the way clothes make me feel is one of the most important parts. I never want to wear something I feel uncomfortable in just because it's trendy! And, on the other hand, I'm never going to choose not to wear something that makes me feel good just because it's not "in style". I truly think that fashion should be a way to express yourself, but it should also be a way to treat yourself. So, when you find a pair of pants, a dress, a shirt, or even an accessory that makes you feel good about yourself, and makes you feel happy, buy it! Then, wear it until you are tired of seeing it! Don't buy into the notion that we need to be buying things to only wear them once or twice.

As for me, I'll be living in this dress all summer long!

I hope you all have a great week 💗

Happy Thursday!

I hope you've all had a great week so far, and are ready for the weekend. Today, I'm sharing this office-worthy outfit! The pencil skirt and shoes are both comfortable and professional, which is a great combination for any office event. I think the bold blue Kate Spade adds a great pop of color!

On a personal note, I recently wore this to an event my work puts on called the UNM Anderson Hall of Fame, which honors outstanding alumni from my college. The whole event was so inspiring. It was so great to see people who started off as just regular students and became such influential business-people! What I really loved about the event was the fact that the Hall of Fame alumni were all 40 or older. In today's world, I feel like there is so much pressure to feel like you have everything together at a super young age. It's not uncommon to be compared to those who were running companies and made millions by the age of 25 (especially now that social media is so huge).

Hearing from these people who really took the time to build their successful careers was so refreshing. These aren't people who started with a lot of luck (or a lot of money). They grew, they learned, they made mistakes. They worked hard and earned everything they built. And what really struck me was how humble they were!

If you're feeling lost or unsure of where you're going in your career, please remember that it is totally okay to not have everything figured out yet.

Happy Sunday!

I hope you're all having a great week! It's Spring Break week here at UNM, but I'm spending the weekend in a place where winter isn't over yet: Durango, Colorado. In honor of that (and the fact that it's not technically Spring yet), I'm sharing one of my favorite sweater dresses! I paired it with my Justfab over-the-knee boots. I love these boots so much that I actually bought them in two colors! They are pretty comfortable and easy to walk in, which is definitely a plus.

As I'm writing this, I just got back from Purgatory, where I snowboarded for the very first time. I'll be honest, I was pretty nervous about trying it. But, thankfully, Matt was a super great teacher! He was so patient with me and really guided me the entire way. I barely made it off the beginner's slope, but I'm excited to try it again someday soon!

Happy Saturday guys!

I hope you're all having a great weekend. I'm so sorry I've been a bit MIA lately! The first few weeks of the semester are always the roughest. It definitely takes me a bit of time to get back into the swing of things!

This week, I'm sharing this bold red sweater! Honestly, I love the details on the sleeves.  They really add a chic twist to an otherwise classic top! I chose to pair it with my black Calvin Klein pants, my black booties from JustFab, and my Rebecca Minkoff Love bag. It's finally starting to get cold here in Albuquerque, and this outfit is the best way to celebrate! It even snowed a bit last week, which I was LIVING for. It never quite feels like winter until the first snowfall.

As for my makeup, I recently found a new lip combo that I am OBSESSED with! Mac Cherry lip liner + Mac Ruby Woo lipstick is my new go-to for the perfect bright red. I'm a pretty pale girl, so I need all the color on my face I can get! This one is so rich and bright, and I truly feel like I'll be wearing it all year long. Mac lipsticks and liners are some of my favorites because they truly last all day, and this one is no exception. I only have to reapply the very middle when I eat something, but otherwise, it'll literally last me all day!

On my eyes, I used the Tarte Toasted palette. This has to be one of my favorite warm eyeshadow palettes! The shadows are so easy to blend and nicely pigmented.

I hope you all have a great week!
