Happy International Women's Day!

As we celebrate all the wonderful women making an impact in our lives today, I really wanted to take some time to reflect on all the incredible women who have truly helped make me into the person I am today.

I've been so lucky to grow up with a strong, empowered mother who taught me that I could be anything I put my mind to. And I know today isn't about men, but I'm grateful that my father and my grandfather on my mom's side were so supportive of my mom, my sister, and I chasing our own dreams, whatever those look like.

My mom is from Mexico, and she came to the U.S. to get her M.B.A. She's inspired me every step of the way, so much so that I'm now working on my own M.B.A. and will hopefully graduate this December.

Recently, an old boss of mine told me something that stuck with me. I think more people need to hear it.

"As good as you think you are, you're even better. Go big. Take on the world. Don't ever settle. And, above all else, always be happy."

Whether you want to start your own company, climb the corporate ladder, be a stay at home mom, create a family, or make your own path, you can do whatever you want to and be whoever you want to be. Let today be a reminder that millions of women around the world are here to support you.

Outfit Details:
Even though spring is right around the corner, it definitely still feels like winter here in Albuquerque. I can't believe how cold it's been! So, I've been loving this classic plaid skirt from Abercrombie & Fitch. The color is one of my favorites for fall and winter, and I love that it can be dressed up or down depending on the type of look you want to create. I matched it with this plain white turtleneck and these over-the-knee black boots from JustFab.

Happy Saturday!

Can you believe we are already over a month into 2019? It's seriously flown by!

This week, I'm sharing my current fave: this off-the-shoulder sweater! It is seriously so soft and cozy, I'm completely obsessed with it. And, the best part? It was super affordable! I bought it at H&M for under $30!

I chose to pair it with white pants, my baby pink Kate Spade handbag, and these girly pink pumps! I think this is the perfect outfit for a casual Sunday brunch.

Anyways, if you need me, I'll be listening to Ariana Grande's new Thank U, Next album on repeat! NASA and Needy are definitely my new favorite songs.

Have a great week!

Happy Sunday guys!

It's been a while! Last month, I officially graduated from UNM with my B.B.A. with a concentration in Marketing Management with a 4.12 GPA. Honestly, it is so crazy to be done with that chapter of my life. This past week was a monumental one for me. First, I started the M.B.A program at UNM. Going to grad school is something I have always imagined myself doing, and it is unbelievable to see that goal starting to come to fruition. I also turned 22 last week, and it was my very first birthday living outside of my parent's house. And first of all, I really want to thank my sweet Matt, my parents, and my wonderful friends for making my birthday so special!

.

The truth is, even though all of these things are exciting and amazing and I am so happy and blessed to be beginning a new chapter in life, I have been struggling a little bit with the transition. You guys, change can be scary! And it wouldn't feel right for me to write this post about these things without mentioning the fact that sometimes I think about what I want to do after I finish grad school and it truly freaks me out. Sometimes, it can be easy to look around at other people either on social media or in real life and feel like everyone has it all figured out except you. But, I promise that it's not true. The more I talk to people about how I've been feeling, the more I realize that I am not alone.

I hope the next chapter in my life brings me even more happiness and joy than all of the previous ones combined. I hope that someday, I look back on this week fondly, knowing that everything really did work out exactly as it was meant to. But, until then, I am going to make an effort to stop stressing out about what comes next, and spend more of my energy truly enjoying and learning from the chapter I am in right now. After all, change can be scary, but it also leads to the absolute best things.

Have a great week everyone!

Happy Sunday guys!

I hope you’re all having a great weekend so far. Here in Albuquerque, it’s finally beginning to really feel like fall. Even though I love warm weather, I was honestly starting to get sick of the heat! Matt and I have even started decorating the apartment for Halloween, which is so exciting.

This week, I’m sharing one of my favorite outfits that I have ever worn! I am seriously obsessed with this red Antonio Melani pencil skirt. It’s a bit on the longer side, which is perfect for the chilly nights of fall. Plus, the buttons on the side and the bright color liven up the whole look!

My top is also from Antonio Melani. What I really love about it is the ruffles on the shoulders! They truly add a bit more volume and dimension to the outfit, which makes it more interesting without drawing too much attention away from the skirt. I also feel like you can wear it with so many different things! I could totally see myself pairing it with skirts, pants, and even fabric shorts in the warmer months.

The bag is the Michael Kors Whitney studded shoulder bag in white and I literally can’t stop wearing it! The gold details on the front are so pretty and unique. The only downside of it is the size. It’s so small that my wallet doesn’t fit inside it! I’ve been having to take out all my important cards and put them in the inside pocket. It’s a bit of a hassle (especially when I change bags and forget I left them in there) but I would still say it is worth it.

Have a great week!

Happy Sunday!

I hope you're all having a great week! It's Spring Break week here at UNM, but I'm spending the weekend in a place where winter isn't over yet: Durango, Colorado. In honor of that (and the fact that it's not technically Spring yet), I'm sharing one of my favorite sweater dresses! I paired it with my Justfab over-the-knee boots. I love these boots so much that I actually bought them in two colors! They are pretty comfortable and easy to walk in, which is definitely a plus.

As I'm writing this, I just got back from Purgatory, where I snowboarded for the very first time. I'll be honest, I was pretty nervous about trying it. But, thankfully, Matt was a super great teacher! He was so patient with me and really guided me the entire way. I barely made it off the beginner's slope, but I'm excited to try it again someday soon!

Happy Saturday guys!

I hope you're all having a great weekend. I'm so sorry I've been a bit MIA lately! The first few weeks of the semester are always the roughest. It definitely takes me a bit of time to get back into the swing of things!

This week, I'm sharing this bold red sweater! Honestly, I love the details on the sleeves.  They really add a chic twist to an otherwise classic top! I chose to pair it with my black Calvin Klein pants, my black booties from JustFab, and my Rebecca Minkoff Love bag. It's finally starting to get cold here in Albuquerque, and this outfit is the best way to celebrate! It even snowed a bit last week, which I was LIVING for. It never quite feels like winter until the first snowfall.

As for my makeup, I recently found a new lip combo that I am OBSESSED with! Mac Cherry lip liner + Mac Ruby Woo lipstick is my new go-to for the perfect bright red. I'm a pretty pale girl, so I need all the color on my face I can get! This one is so rich and bright, and I truly feel like I'll be wearing it all year long. Mac lipsticks and liners are some of my favorites because they truly last all day, and this one is no exception. I only have to reapply the very middle when I eat something, but otherwise, it'll literally last me all day!

On my eyes, I used the Tarte Toasted palette. This has to be one of my favorite warm eyeshadow palettes! The shadows are so easy to blend and nicely pigmented.

I hope you all have a great week!
